The व्यंजन fact is “stay here and enjoy my company” (Query―Is there no रसाभास व्यंजन in this expression? In an utterance of स्वयंदूती (Chap.I) Vishwanath admits रसाभास. In the example before us the श्लिष्ट word पयोधर undoubtedly suggests वस्तु only. Now the question is―“Does the suggestion go beyond?” It does, and offers an example of अर्थमूलक व्यंजना in व्यंग्यार्थ. See P.11. It is to be admitted, therefore, that by व्यंजना शक्ति may be suggested a series of facts or Bhavas one after another. For instance by अनुभव a संचारीभाव may be Suggested and subsequently by संचारी a स्थायी In the same manner by व्यंग्य वस्तु may be suggested a व्यंग्य भाव or रस.)

(b)शब्द-शक्ति से अलंकार व्यंग्य―The example will be सादृश्य (उपमा) suggested by means of श्लेष (the verses in अन्योक्ति-कल्पद्रुम may serve as example).

(2)अर्थशक्त्युद्धव ध्वनि―may be either in the font of वस्तु or in the of अलंकार. Each of these may either be स्वतःसंभवी or कवि-प्रौढ़ौक्ति-सिद्ध. (1) (imaginary) e. g. कौओं को सफेद करनेवाली चंद्रिका which is to be found no where. The different combination of these four ways give rise to twelve forms of अर्थशक्त्युद्भव ध्वनि.'
