भारत में अंगरेजी राज और हमारी कौम को फिर से मित्रता काम करने का आपके लिए अच्छा मौका है । आप इससे इनकार नहीं कर सकते कि हमारी कौम के साथ आपने बहुत अजा सलूक किया है ( जन्म कि आजकल हमारी और आपकी कौमों में सुलह है)। यदि आप हमारे आदमियों को कासिमअली खाँ के हाथों से निकाल कर हमारे पास भेजने की तदबीर कर सकें तो आप अंगरेजों की कृतज्ञता पर पूरा भरोसा रखिए और हम आपको पचास हजार रुपए शौरन देने का वादा करते हैं !"* 'सीश्ररुल-मुताख़रीन' में लिखा है कि इसके बाद मीर कासिम को किसी तरह गिरफार करने की अंगरेजों को __चिन्ता हुई ! वन्सीटार्ट और वारन हेस्टिंग्स गिरफ्तार करने की योजना ने कलकत्ते के ईसाई सौदागर खोजा पेतरूस से जिसे अागा वेदरूस भी कहते थे, खोजा निगरी के नाम जिसे गुरघिन खाँ भी कहते थे, इस सम्बन्ध में एक पत्र
