के प्रयत्न ५५० भारत में अंगरेजी राज वास्तव में टीपू बरार के राजा या अंगरेजों दोनों में से किसी पर भी हमला करने वाला न था, और न दौलत रुड गव सींधिया उस समय तक किसी तरह का भोसले को फोड़ने - इरादा अंगरेज़ों के विरुद्ध कर रहा था । हमें स्मरण रखना चाहिए कि 'वजीरअली के पत्रों, की गप्प भी इसके बाद की गढ़ी हुई थी। किन्तु अंगरेज़ टीपू और दौलतराव दोनों के नाश का इरादा कर चुके थे । वेल्सली यह भी जानता था कि नागपुर के राजा भोसले को खुले तौर पर निर्दोष दौलतराव के विरुद्ध फोड़ सकना इतना आसान नहीं है । ऊपर से अभी तक दौलतराव के साथ भो वेल्सली मित्रता दर्शा रहा था। इसलिए वह इस धोखे से दौलतराव के विरुद्ध दूसरों की सहायता को पक्का कर लेना चाहता था। ३ मार्च सन् १७६४ को वेल्सलो ने एक "प्राइवेट" पत्र हैदराबाद -
