"शुरू में लॉर्ड डलहौजी ने हज़ार पाउण्ड से कम का बरमियों से दावा कियाइसके बाद रंगून के शासक ने हमारे अफ़सरों की जो हतक की उसके भ किए रायर नर से माफ़ी माँगने के लिए कहा गया, इसके बाद लॉर्ड डलहौज़ी ने अपनी माँगों को बढ़ा कर एक लाख पाउण्ड मतद कर दिया और बरमा के महाराजा के वजीरों से माफ़ी माँगने के लिए कहाफिर बरमा के राज पर हमला कर दिया गया, इस पर नकदी और सानियों की सब सोंगें एकाएक बन्द हो गई, और लॉर्ड डलहौजी पिछली तमाम बातों के बदले’ और 'हरजाने’ में पग्गू का प्रान्त ले लेने के लिए राज़ी हो गया '8 दिसम्बर सन् १९५२ में संयुक्त राज अमरीका की सेनेट में घतता देते हुए सेनेट के एक सदस्य जनरल बरसा युद्ध पर कैस ने इसी युद्ध के विषय में कहा था- अमरंकन सेनेटर ‘हिन्दोस्तान को एक और देशी रियासत एक जबरदस्त व्यापारी मण्डली की बढ़ौती का शिकार हो गई । और उसके प्रस्सी लाख अथवा एक करोड़ लोग अंगरेजों की असंख्य भारतीय प्रजा में शामिल
