जा सकता है। यह देवतार्चन है। आत्म प्रसाद का आनन्द पथ है। इस का आस्वाद ब्रह्मानन्द ही है।
आस्वाद के आधार पर विवेचना करने में कहा जा सकता है कि आस्वाद तो केवल सामाजिकों को ही होता है। नटों को उस में क्या? आधुनिक रंगमंच का एक दल कहता है कि "नट को आस्वाद, अनुभूति की आवश्यकता नहीं। रंग-मंच में हम बाह्य विन्यास (मेकअप) के द्वारा गूढ़ से गूढ़ भावों का अभिनय कर लेते हैं।"*[१] किन्तु यह विवाद भारतीय रंगमंच के प्राचीन संचालकों में भी हुआ था। इसी तरह एक पक्ष कहता था―
अष्टावेव रसानाट्येष्विति केचिदचृचुदन, तदचारुयतः किञ्चिन्नरस स्वदते नटः। अर्थात् नट को आस्वाद तो होता ही नहीं, इसलिए शान्त भी क्यों ने अभिनयोपयोगी रस माना जाय। यह कहना
